Join us this week in prayer for HOPE CHURCH.  

monday

Pray that our church comes to know and understand the great love and mercy of God. Pray that we will have the power to grasp His love and respond with lives filled with obedience, worship, and good works . - 

 

Ephesians 3:14-21 - "14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

tuesday

Pray that God meets the needs in our church of those who are sick, alone, hurting, and struggling financially and emotionally. Pray that God shows mercy and provides a way out from under suffering. Pray that He encourages those who need encouragement, strengthen the weak, and help the hurting heal. 

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Ps 147:3
 

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Ps 34:18
 

"But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6
 

"I believe I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait on the Lord." Ps 27:13-14
 

"Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." 2 Cor 1:3-4

Wednesday

Pray that Christ sends us elders, and deacons who are above reproach. As well as those with gifts to help strengthen and establish Hope Church in Christ centered maturity. Pray for God to bring people with experience to help grow this church in faith, in scripture, in prayer, and in impactful ministry. Pray that we find a better space to worship and use for the benefits of the church and the community.

 

Ephesians 4:11-16 - 

"11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."

thursday

Pray that the Word of God produces fruit in the lives of our members, salvation in visitors and in our families, in our friends. Pray that those who hear the word would experience conviction and repentance. Pray that our ministries lead to more coming to faith and abandoning their old lives for obedience to God. Pray for God's word to transform the lives in the church. 

 

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 - 3 As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. 2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 4 We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. 5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance. 

friday

Prayer for God to strengthen the marriages in our church. Pray that God would build up children in the faith, to convict them, and transform them at a young age. Pray for broken relationships to be reconciled. -

Colossians 3:12-14 - 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

 

Ephesians 5:33

33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
